Ad rules

Last updated: July 2026

These rules exist so the ads on SPECTEX stay useful and safe for everyone browsing. By sending us a creative you accept them. We review every ad before it goes live and can remove one at any time if it breaks these rules

1. Banner content

Your banner may not contain anything we already prohibit in listings under our Terms of Use, or anything unlawful under Armenian law.

That includes adult content, gambling, tobacco, vapes, drugs and medicines, weapons, occult services, network marketing and pyramid schemes, requests for financial support, offers of work abroad or online earnings schemes, and any offer requiring an upfront payment from the applicant.

It also includes offensive language, calls to violence, discrimination on any grounds, and misleading claims about your own or anyone else's products.

We do not accept political advertising. That covers content promoting or opposing a party, a candidate, or a referendum

2. Creative requirements

Image ads need two files, one at 834x176 for desktop and one at 640x320 for mobile, in JPG, PNG or WebP, each up to 5 MB. Larger multiples of the same proportions are accepted.

Video ads need two files as well, one at 834x176 for desktop and one at 640x320 for mobile, in MP4 or WebM, each up to 20 MB and up to 30 seconds. Video always plays muted, so do not rely on sound to carry your message.

Text ads take a headline of up to 40 characters, optional supporting text of up to 60, an optional button label of up to 20, an optional logo and a background colour. They are rendered in the site's own typography, and the limits exist so the copy always fits the slot without being cut off.

Creatives that do not match these proportions will be cropped or letterboxed, so please supply the exact sizes

3. Trademarks and copyright

You must own the rights to everything in your creative, or have permission to use it. That covers logos, brand names, photography, footage, music and fonts.

Do not use a third party's logo, brand name or trademark without their written permission. If we receive a credible complaint about the rights to a creative, we will take it down while it is resolved

4. Landing page

The link on your ad has to work, and has to keep working for the whole campaign. Broken links are removed.

The page it opens must relate to what the ad shows. An ad for one product cannot open an unrelated page.

The landing page itself must not contain anything listed in section 1. Pages that automatically download files, open unexpected pop ups, or ask for card details without a clear reason are not accepted

5. Review and removal

Every creative is reviewed by us before it goes live, which normally takes less than a working day.

We can decline a creative, or remove one that is already running, if it breaks these rules, if it misrepresents SPECTEX, or if it harms the experience of people using the site. If we remove an ad mid campaign for a reason that is not your fault, we will agree a fair adjustment with you.

We may also ask you to change a creative for readability, for example if the text is too small to read on a phone

6. Booking and payment

Campaigns are agreed directly with us. Tell us the dates, the format and the link, and we will confirm availability and price.

Payment is arranged by bank transfer or card and is due before the campaign starts. There is no self serve checkout and no advertiser account to create.

We report the number of times your ad was displayed and clicked, and can send you the daily figures for the period you booked
